http://stm.info/

http://stm.info/English/tarification/a-tarif.htm#article-0.5

單程票 = CAD $2.75

(The main public transit system in Montreal, as introduced in the previous chapter, is the Montreal Metro. For travelers planning multiple trips, purchasing a 1-Day or 3-Day pass is usually the most convenient option. For detailed fare information, please visit the official Société de transport de Montréal (STM) website.

Updated 2010 Fares: Single Fare = CAD $2.75 | 1-Day Pass = CAD $7 (Unlimited) | 3-Day Pass = CAD $14 (Unlimited)

Just like a scratch card, scratch off the month (only one!) and the dates. Simply present it to the station attendant each time you enter.)

(Deep down in the underground passageway of the Montreal Metro, heading to our next destination.)

(Biodôme de Montréal)

(Montreal Biodôme (Biodôme de Montréal). The building was originally built as a velodrome for the 1976 Summer Olympics, and was converted into the Biodôme in 1989. Located within a 3-minute walk from "Viau" station on the Green Line.

Admission (Biodôme only): Adult $16.50 | Senior (65+) $12.50 | Student (18+) $12.50 | Youth (5-17) $8.25 | Child (2-4) $2.50)

(The design of the Biodôme is unique, recreating distinct ecosystems with precise temperature and humidity controls. The photo on the right is a close-up shot of fish—it almost looks like they're flying through trees! Using flash when taking photos of aquariums can harm aquatic life and creates unwanted reflections; shooting without flash yields much better and clearer results.)
cac5005

(An artificial waterfall in the Tropical Rainforest habitat, adding realism and essential humidity.)
cac5006

(An alligator basking motionless on the sandy shore.)

(Tropical fish featuring vibrant golden stripes—absolutely beautiful.)

(In the Laurentian Maple Forest zone, there are no cages—birds fly freely right in front of visitors!)

(And here comes the absolute main attraction of the Biodôme... Adélie Penguin (Adeliae Penguin), native to the Antarctic coast and surrounding islands.)
cac5010

(Their waddling walk is so playful and adorable!)
cac5011

(While taking photos, two penguins kept staring straight into my camera lens, almost as if saying...)

("Whatcha lookin' at, kid? Haven't you ever seen penguins as handsome as us?")
cac5013

Madagascar?

(Madagascar? That's right! A special exhibition featuring the fauna and flora of Madagascar.)
cac5014

(Anyone who has seen the animated movie Madagascar should recognize these guys!)

(The Insectarium is in a separate facility from the Biodôme. A shuttle bus connects the two in about 5 minutes.)
cac5016

(A massive beetle specimen—the largest I've ever seen in person.)
cac5017

(Butterflies from around the world; the mesmerizing green and black colors look truly surreal.)

(Huh? Why display a dead leaf as a specimen? Haha, fans of The Kindaichi Case Files should know what this is—the Dead Leaf Butterfly! It looks identical to a dry leaf when resting. However...)

(When it spreads its wings, it instantly reveals a stunning pattern, though slightly different from the blue-orange species common in Asia.)

(The Botanical Garden right next to the Insectarium, capturing the exact moment water splashes from the fountain.)
cac5024

(A pinkish-purple water lily—nature's authentic colors are truly the finest.)
cac5025

(A pink rose with sharp thorns—captivating yet delicate to touch.)
cac5026

(Keroro's invasion commemorative shot! By the way, the background features the Biodôme and Montreal Olympic Stadium. The inclined tower is the tallest inclined tower in the world at 175 meters high.)
